Ys Series

The "Ys" series have been developed into OVA, comics, and novels from original game software. These works are very popular and famous not only in Japan but also throughout Asian regions.

BACKGROUND

"Ys" was at first put on the market in 1987 for 8 bit personal computers. At that time we based "Ys" with the theme of kindness, and it is the predecessor of present games that are intended for enjoyment of the game story. The "Ys" series has been converted and localized to many machines and languages, and is known as Falcom's main work.

LICENSING POINT

The "Ys" series boasts a user group ranging from early teens to adults since it's release in 1987.
"Lilia", the most famous character in the game, opened way to the "Miss Lilia Contest". (Later, the victor of the contest made her debut from KING RECORDS Co., Ltd.). The latest of series, "Ys5" has been a great hit with young women as well as young men.

After Adol was caught in storm, he landed on a deserted island, where Rehda people lived with nature.

A red-headed adventurer, the hero of these stories.

	OLHA Rehda's priestess. She is Tendar-hearted and naieve, always cares about her sister Isha, and Rehda's people.		ISHA Olha's younger sister. After Adol saved her from monster, she yearns Adol like a brother.
	TERRA The thief girl also appeared in "Ys5".		GEIS Mystery boy whom Adol meeds often in his adventure.
	ERNST The officer of the Romn's warship.		DOGI Adol's company who used to be a thief.

STORY and CHARACTERS

The one young man was launched by the beach... his name is Adol Christin. He headed his boat to Esterior, commonly known as "Damnatory Land".
After rescued by people of Esterior, he hears about the demon which attacked the town. Why the "tower of demon" exist? What is the secret of "Ys"? All stories of "Ys" now begins from Esterior!

The light burst through clouds and carries Adol into heaven.
Adol did not know this was the start of another adventure at "Ancient Land of Ys"....

There had been almost three years since Adol saved Ys from the evil. He was traveling in every place with his company, Dogi.
One day, they hears about the baleful rumors about Felugana, Dogi's birthplace. At Felugana they see furious monsters crawling around all over the land. What kind of adventure will be awaiting Adol at this ruined place....??
